Integration and Community Cohesion Strategy
The borough's Integration and Community Cohesion Strategy (2007-2011) (pdf) was approved by Cabinet on 16 October 2007 and the LSP Executive on the 12 November 2007.
The strategy sets out how the council and partner organisations will improve cohesion between all our diverse communities and ensure that new communities can integrate successfully into mainstream society.
The strategy will seek to achieve six overarching outcomes over the life of the strategy. These are based on the findings of detailed local research and consultation and the recommendations from the Commission on Integration and Cohesion.
To ensure these outcomes are met the strategy includes an initial 18-month action plan for the council and partners to deliver. This will be updated on an annual basis.
