Housing Needs Study and Private Sector Housing Condition survey
The Housing Needs Study and the Private
Sector Housing Condition Survey are two research projects, which
were carried out in 2004 by Fordham Research Company on
behalf of the council and were published in 2005.
Housing Needs Study
The Housing Needs Study is designed to assess the
future requirements for both affordable and market housing. To do
this a combination of personal interviews and a postal survey were
carried out achieving a total of 1,229 responses.

Housing Condition Survey
For the Housing Condition Survey a combination of a
physical survey of dwellings and a short socio-economic interview
of inhabitants were carried out achieving a total of 993
responses.
