During June/July 2005, the residents and businesses in Gypsy Corner were consulted on whether they would like a Controlled Parking Zone in the area.

Consultation results
The consultation was sent via Royal Mail 2
nd Class post, allowing residents at least 6 weeks
response time. Due to an addressing error, a second distribution
was carried out where a total number of 1470 documents were issued
with 324 consultations returned. This gives a response rate of
22%.
The data has been analysed to provide the following results:

Recommendations to Area Committee
Officer recommendations were presented to the Acton
Area Committee on the 26 September 2005. Concluded from
results, it was recommended to introduce controlled parking
regulations to the following streets and agree to call it Gypsy
Corner CPZ, andthat the CPZ operates a policy of white lines across
driveways:

What happens next?
The Area Committee recommendations were submitted to the
Portfolio Holder on the 9 November 2005. A decision was made
and it has been agreed to implement the controlled parking zone to
the Gypsy Corner area. Works will commence in 2006.
