Civil partnership ceremonies

Same sex couples wishing to form a civil partnership in England or Wales must each give formal 'notice of intention' by attending the register office in the area they live at least 15 clear days before the ceremony, if you are having your ceremony  in England or Wales, but can be up to 21 days if the ceremony is abroad.

These arrangements are in line with the Civil Partnership Act 2004, which was passed by parliament and came into force on 5 December 2005.

Partnership signings or partnership signings and ceremonies can be conducted either in the Norwood Suite at Ealing Town Hall or other local approved venues.

Office closure
The office will be closed on 17 December 2008 from 1pm for staff training.  It will re-open at 9am on 18 December 2008.
