Registering a birth
By law a birth must be registered within 42 days. To register
a birth contact the Ealing register office for an
appointment.

The father can register if the parents are married at the time of the birth. If the mother and father are not married, they must register together if the father's details are to be included in the birth register.
The full birth certificate costs £3.50 at the time of registration and £7 at other times.
If the birth occurred outside of the London Borough of Ealing, you should register the birth at the register office for the district where the birth occurred.
The details entered in the birth register must be full and accurate. Spelling or information mistakes are very difficult to correct.
