Foundation certificate in health and safety in the
workplace
The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 places
various duties on all employers, the self-employed and
employees.
Ealing environmental health is a registered training centre for the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and runs the foundation certificate in health and safety in the workplace.
Courses are held over a full day that includes a short
examination.
The subjects covered include:

prevention of accidents and ill health

risk assessments

manual handling
A certificate is awarded to successful attendees.
