Economic development
The council is committed to providing services to local businesses and the economic development team encourage investment in the area. Ealing Council is part of the area regeneration partnership along with Park Royal, West London Business, Ealing Centre Partnership, Groundwork West London, Action Acton and the Heathrow City Partnership.
The unit is also working with local regeneration partnerships to increase the quality and variety of work skills offered to residents, helping them to make the most of new employment and training opportunities as they are created.
What is economic development?
Economic development aims to:

Economic regeneration and development in Ealing
Economic development activity includes the public,
private and voluntary sectors and depends on partnership working
and targeted interventions work. Ealing Council and its partners
have produced a number of strategies that tackle aspects
of economic and social development.
Strategies
Strategies have been produced to tackle aspects of
economic and social development. These include:
- economic regeneration strategy
- educational development plan
- lifelong learning plan
- children's and young persons strategic plan
- crime and disorder reduction strategy
- neighbourhood renewal strategy
Partnership strategies
Other partners within Ealing's Local Strategic
Partnership (LSP) have developed strategies that directly or
indirectly promote economic and social well being. Examples
are:
- annual business plans for the borough's area based regeneration agencies, such as Action Acton and the Park Royal partnership
- spending plans by west London based business support services such as Business Link London West
- investment plans by Thames Valley University and Hammersmith and West London College
- Ealing's Annual Public Health Report
- bids and business plans prepared by voluntary sector organisations such as Ealing Voluntary Services Council
