Smartworks - How does it work?

Once Global Action Plan have received your enquiry they will phone/email you to discuss the needs of your organisation and level and type of support required.
A SmartWorks business advisor will either provide support over the phone or provide an on-site visit to benchmark your organisation and provide a report with recommendations for change.
Global Action Plan will follow-up with your organisation after the visit to find out how you are progressing and if appropriate may re-visit you six months later to re-assess and measure progress.

The free support offered can range from 2 to 14 hours and may include:

an environmental review of your business
development plan for ways to reduce energy, water and other resource use
advice on green purchasing or travel

In addition to the above SmartWorks can provide (fees may be incurred):

additional research or advice
training programmes for staff or management
help in implementing an environmental management system

The initial review and action plan is free. Further support and training may incur a small charge depending on the extent of support (any costs would be subject to prior agreement with your business). Global Action Plan also offer Environmental Management System BS8555 training for which we can offer subsidies to London SMES.
