A public local inquiry will be held at Ealing Town Hall on 30 September to consider whether several footpaths in the centre of Ealing should be closed.
The Council is seeking confirmation of an order to extinguish public footpaths on the Dickens Yard site.
The decision could have a major impact on current plans for the redevelopment of the site because the paths would have to be closed before any redevelopment could proceed.
The current planning application for Dickens Yard includes proposals for 20 new shop units and 698 new homes. A date for the Planning Committee to consider the application has not yet been set.
Anyone wishing to view documents supporting the order should contact the Council on (020) 8825 8908 to make an appointment.
