Parents of Ealing teenagers are being invited to a free event to help them deal with their adolescents.
The one-day workshop has been organised by Ealing Council’s Children Services to help mums and dads gain the skills they need to deal with difficult situations without confrontation.
The event, which will take place at the Trailfinders Sports Club in Vallis Way on Saturday, 18 October, will feature Lorrine Marer from Channel 5 TV shows The Teen Tamer and Families Behaving Badly.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm and includes workshops and discussions on:
Parents will also be entered into a free prize draw to win one of four mini I-Pod Shuffles. Those attending will also be given Who Wants to be a Millionaire style voting pads to give event organisers feedback on the workshops.
Councillor Ian Gibb, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said: “As a parent myself I think these workshops are a really good idea. It can be difficult knowing how to deal with teenagers and these workshops are intended to give good, practical advice on some of the more tricky topics and situations.”
A free shuttle bus is available which will pick up and drop off at several points across the borough. Free food will be provided. For more information or to book a place call Kate Subanney on (020) 8825 6897 or email Ksubanney@ealing.gov.uk
