Make your nominations now (PR 1215)

Time is running out for residents to nominate their favourite Ealing Council employees and be in with a chance to win £200.

Ealing Council is urging residents to nominate council officers and teams who they feel have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

Anyone can make a nomination and those who do will be entered into a free prize draw to win £200 worth of shopping vouchers. Nominations for Ealing Council's Annual Employee Awards Scheme will close on 31 May.

Chief Executive, Darra Singh, said: "Many of our staff have very challenging roles and some of the stories I hear confirm the impact they have on the lives of people in the borough.  Over the last few years the Council has won national awards for its work, but never before have we held our own awards ceremony to recognise individual officers.  We aim to deliver excellent services so I think it's important that we recognise those staff who work really hard to give residents the level of service they deserve.

People can nominate anyone who works for the Council or one of its contractors, including teachers, carers, street sweepers and librarians.

The categories are:

Freepost nomination forms can be picked up in any of the borough's libraries or reception desks at any of the council's offices.  Nominations can also be made online.

A short-list will be drawn up and the winners will be selected by a panel of councillors and the Chief Executive.  Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Ealing Summer Festival in Walpole Park in July.
