New help for shoppers with disabilities to get around Ealing (PR 1189)

Ealing residents are being given the chance to have their say on new plans to introduce a Shopmobility Scheme in the town to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

A conference, which has been organised by Ealing Council in conjunction with Ealing Centre for Independent Living, is being held in the Liz Cantell Room at Ealing Town Hall on Wednesday, 19 March from 2-4pm.

Anyone with an interest in the scheme can attend to find out more and give their views on how Ealing’s Shopmobility Scheme should operate. People attending the event will also get the chance to volunteer to take part in a steering group which is being set up to help oversee the scheme.

Doors open at 1pm for refreshments and administration.  Transport can be arranged upon request.  For more information or to book a place at the event contact Mark Crouch at Ealing Council on 020 8825 6279 or email crouchm@ealing.gov.uk
