Spring into Acton (PR 1186)

Residents are being invited to the official opening of a new sports facility that launches with a spectacular trampoline display.

During the evening at Reynolds Sports Centre, at Acton High School, Gunnersbury Lane, guests will get the chance to have a free fitness test and try out the new facilities. People attending the event on Thursday, 13 March from 5.30-9.30pm will also be given a tour of the site, which includes a sports hall, gym and dance studio.

Visitors can even have a go at trampolining following the display by Nova Trampoline DMT club, which trains at the sports centre. Ealing Council’s Active Ealing Team will also be on hand to advise guests about gym membership, nutrition and healthy lifestyles.

Visitors can also get free membership and free inductions to use until the end of the month, and complimentary one-day guest passes are also up for grabs on the night.

Councillor Nigel Sumner, Cabinet Member for Health and Community Well Being, said: “This is a wonderful new facility and the event is a good opportunity for people to find out more about what it has to offer. It promises to be an entertaining evening and I’m sure that once people see the centre they will be motivated to improve their own fitness.”

Leader of Ealing Council, Jason Stacey, will be attending the event along with the Mayor, Councillor Mrs Hazel Ware and the Council’s Chief Executive Darra Singh.
