Poet laureate Andrew Motion is set to make a special guest appearance at the West London Literary Festival, which returns after last summer’s successful debut.
The Literary Festival will tantalise imaginations and evoke emotions with a lively weekend of story-telling, poetry and recitals to provide enjoyment and entertainment for all the family.
Councillor Phil Taylor, Cabinet Member for Customer and Community Services, said: “This is a great event for all the family and a fantastic opportunity for budding writers to pick up some handy tips. I hope word has spread since the first Literary Festival launched last year and we will be welcoming even bigger crowds.”
Andrew Motion will be judging the first ever Ealing Arts poetry competition and he will be joined at the festival by a host of other captivating guests set to attract crowds. Richard Briers, better-known for his role as Tom Good in the BBC hit show The Good Life will be discussing an assortment of literature during his Desert Island Books slot at the festival. There will also be author talks, workshops and spoken word performances during the two-day extravaganza.
