Romantics are invited to take part in a Valentine’s quiz at Greenford Library on Thursday, 14 February.
As well as being in with a chance of meeting the perfect date, the winner will also get a slap-up meal for two at a top Ealing restaurant. The library will host the quiz, which is free to enter, from 7-8.30pm.
Questions will be based on romantic books, films and music, which can all be found in any of the borough’s libraries for anyone wanting to brush-up on their knowledge before the big night. There will also be a special round of questions to mark the 100th anniversary of romance publisher Mills & Boon.
Refreshments will be served throughout the evening and the quiz is open to anyone who wishes to take part.
Other libraries across the borough will be offering drinks and snacks during the last hour of opening on Valentine’s Day, as well as a free prize draw to win champagne and chocolates. Please check with individual libraries for details.
Councillor Nigel Sumner, Cabinet Member for Health and Community Well Being, said: “Not only is this a good way to meet new people but it is also a great opportunity to find out more about what our libraries have to offer. This promises to be a fun event and one that I hope will encourage more people to join the library and benefit from the services on offer.”
There is no need to book but for more information about the quiz
