Ealing Council wants residents to have their say on vital health services in the borough.
Next week a panel of councillors will discuss two important health issues - the provision of wheelchairs in the borough and mental health services for children and teenagers. The panel wants anyone who has used either of the services, or who has a strong view about their provision, to get in touch.
The Health, Housing and Adult Social Services Scrutiny Panel, which acts as a watchdog for local NHS services, will listen to the views of members of the public and make recommendations to the relevant NHS body about what should be done to improve the services.
Chair of the Scrutiny Panel, Councillor Mark Reen, said: "This is a very important meeting because it gives local people a real opportunity to help shape some key health services in their area. The role of the panel is to listen to the views of local people and if necessary ask for changes to be made by local NHS organisations to make services better. We want to hear from anyone who has any views, but in particular we’d like people who have first hand experience of the services to get in touch."
The meeting will take place in the Liz Cantell Room of the Town Hall at 7pm on Wednesday, 7 November. Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting or alternatively they can give their views to Nigel Spalding before the meeting by calling 020 8825 8182 or emailing spaldingn@ealing.gov.uk
