Bright sparks save energy (PR 1084)
Residents can pick up tips on how to save cash and become more energy efficient at an event on Wednesday, 24 October.
Ealing Council staff will be providing advice on how to cut the cost of heating bills, and giving away free energy saving light bulbs in Ealing Broadway Centre, next to Tesco, from 10am to 4pm.
The event, in partnership with North West London Energy Efficiency Advice Centre, will also highlight how residents can claim grants and discounts for insulation works to make their homes more energy efficient.
Simple ways to save energy, money and the environment include:
· Turn the lights off when you leave a room
· Never boil more water than you need
· Close curtains in the evenings to stop heat escaping
through windows
