Residents of Ealing borough get their say (PR 1066)

If you could change one thing about your area, what would it be?  That’s just one of the questions being put to thousands of residents across Ealing Borough this autumn.

The questions are being asked as part of a residents’ survey, being carried out on behalf of Ealing Council.  The research will give 3000 residents the chance to have their say on local services and to tell the council what it’s doing well and what it could do better.

Leader, Councillor Jason Stacey, said: "The survey is really important because it will help us to plan and improve our services.  We decided our current priorities – cleaner streets, safer communities and value for money – by looking at what people said in previous surveys, so it really is important that people tell us what they think."

The confidential survey will be carried out during October and November by independent company BMG Research.  All those asked to take part will be selected at random.

Residents will be asked for personal information, such as age and ethnicity to see whether different groups of people have different views about services.  The answers are absolutely confidential and the council will only receive a summary report outlining the results of the survey, without any personal information about any individuals.

If you have any queries regarding this survey please contact Sarah Robinson at BMG Research on 0121 333 6006 or Ethan Greenwood at Ealing Council on 020 8825 5485.

The results will be published in January and will be available online at www.ealing.gov.uk
