Ealing currently has eleven dispersal orders and six controlled drinking zones to tackle anti social behaviour and over half of Ealing’s persistent priority offenders are on remand or in custody as a result of the joint working taking place across the borough.
Councillor Sue Emment, Cabinet Member for Safer Communities, said: “Making Ealing Safer is one the Council’s top priorities.
“Ealing Council has reduced crime more than any other borough since April and will continue to work towards reducing it further and the effect it has on the people of Ealing.”
The Council’s Community Safety Team and the Police Safer Neighbourhood Teams have delivered awareness and information events to residents, which have also contributed to the number of offences decreasing.
The most recent community safety initiative prompted arrests for offences such as possession of an offensive weapon, theft, driving while disqualified and possession of drugs with intent to supply.
