Have your say on Acton bus lanes (PR 1113)

Ealing Council is giving residents the chance to have their say on bus lanes in Acton.

On Wednesday, 21 November, the Acton Area Committee will look at whether the number of bus lanes should be increased or reduced, whether existing bus lane signage is clear and whether any other changes should be made.

Councillor Dawn Larmouth, Chairman of the Bus Lane Specialist Scrutiny Committee, said:  “Bus lanes – love them or hate them, we want your views.

“This is your chance to have a say on the Council’s policy on this issue before any decisions are made.

“This issue is of great interest to local people and we want as much feedback as possible.”

The results of the discussion at Acton Area Committee will help to inform a study being carried out by the Bus Lane Specialist Scrutiny Panel.  The panel is due to report on the issue to the Council’s Cabinet in April 2008.

Residents who are unable to attend the meeting can send their questions and comments to Head of Scrutiny, Keith Fraser, on 020 8825 7497 or email fraserk@ealing.gov.uk
