A children’s nursery has been awarded top marks in all areas in its latest Ofsted visit.
Despite being in temporary accommodation while a new centre is being built, Greenfields Children’s Centre in Southall received ‘ outstanding’ grades throughout the inspection.
The Ofsted team reported that excellent teaching, combined with an outstanding creative curriculum, contributes significantly to the children’s happiness and high achievement.
Councillor Ian Gibb, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said: “This is a real boost for everyone. It highlights the hard work and commitment of the staff and does credit to everyone involved who makes this such an outstanding place for children to learn.”
The staff and children are due to move into a new building on
the same site next year. Demolition of the old centre was
completed this week. The youngsters at the centre are aged between
three months and five years old.
