Ealing Council offers new celebratory services (PR 1094)

Ealing Council is extending its registrar service to offer two new celebratory ceremonies to couples and families.

It has launched Baby Naming and Renewal of Vows ceremonies to provide an alternative to a traditional religious service, so people can still formally celebrate the event with family and friends.

The Baby Naming ceremony can include readings and music of a non-religious nature, and Renewal of Vows ceremonies are aimed at couples that wish to renew their wedding or civil partnership vows using a specially written ceremony.

Councillor Nigel Sumner, Cabinet Member for Health and Community Well-Being, said: “These new services are becoming increasingly popular so it’s fantastic news that we are now able to offer this in the borough.”

Both types of ceremonies take place at Ealing Town Hall.  The cost will vary according to the day on which the ceremony takes place. A service within the Ceremony Rooms at the Town Hall will range from £110 to £260.
