The determination, dedication and inspiration shown by women across the world will be celebrated at a free event next week organised by Ealing Council to mark International Women’s Day.
“Women’s Voices 2007” will be held on Tuesday 20 March at Ealing Town Hall (Princes Hall) from 6 – 7.30pm and is open to all local women to attend.
A wide range of organisations will be on hand to give advice, guidance and support on topics including work-life balance, managing debt and family commitments, employment tips, immigration, marriage and relationship advice and counselling.
The council’s director of strategy and development Shelley Adams and Ealing Police borough commander, Colette Paul will introduce the event.
Shelley Adams said: “International Women’s Day is a great opportunity for the council to celebrate the passion, determination and dedication of women and the contribution we make to society on a global, national and local level.
“This event is our way of engaging with women, highlighting the collective power and influence of women past, present and future and recognising those issues that are important to them locally.
“I’m thrilled to be taking part in this event and look forward to talking to other local women.”
